1. Enabling Accessibility Permission
You must enable the accessibility listener ON so AutoSpot can automate toggling your hotspot. Choose your phone brand below for step-by-step instructions:
Google Pixel / Motorola / Pure Android
- Inside AutoSpot, tap Enable Accessibility Service (or open phone Settings > Accessibility).
- Scroll down and tap on AutoSpot.
- Toggle ON the switch for Use AutoSpot.
- Tap Allow in the system prompt.
Samsung Galaxy (OneUI)
- Inside AutoSpot, tap Enable Accessibility Service (or open phone Settings > Accessibility).
- Tap on Installed apps (or Installed services).
- Select AutoSpot.
- Toggle the switch to On.
- Tap Allow in the confirmation prompt.
OnePlus / Oppo / Realme
- Inside AutoSpot, tap Enable Accessibility Service (or open phone Settings > Additional Settings > Accessibility).
- Tap on AutoSpot (it may be listed under the "General" or "Downloaded Apps" section).
- Toggle the switch to On.
- Tap Allow in the confirmation prompt.
Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO (MIUI / HyperOS)
- Inside AutoSpot, tap Enable Accessibility Service (or open phone Settings > Additional Settings > Accessibility).
- Tap on Downloaded services (or Installed services).
- Select AutoSpot.
- Toggle ON the switch for Use AutoSpot.
- Check the safety warning checkbox (if prompted) and wait for the countdown, then tap OK.
Other Android Brands
- Go to your phone's main Settings.
- Search for or tap on Accessibility.
- Look for AutoSpot (it might be under "Installed Services", "Services", or "Downloaded apps").
- Select it and switch the service to ON or Enabled.
2. Placing the Hotspot Quick Settings Tile
For AutoSpot to click the Hotspot button, it must be located on the first page of active tiles in your Quick Settings drawer. Here is how to configure it on various brands:
Google Pixel / Motorola
- Swipe down twice from the top of your screen to expand the Quick Settings panel.
- Tap the Pencil (edit) icon at the bottom-right of the tiles panel.
- Scroll down to find Hotspot in the inactive section.
- Tap, hold, and drag the Hotspot tile up into the top section, placing it on the first page of active tiles.
- Tap the back arrow in the top left to save.
Samsung Galaxy
- Swipe down twice to fully expand the quick panel.
- Tap the Pencil (edit) icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Full (or Top if you want it in the compact bar) to edit active buttons.
- Locate Mobile Hotspot. Drag it into the active grid on the first page of buttons.
- Tap Done to save your changes.
OnePlus / Oppo
- Swipe down twice from the top of the screen.
- Tap the Three vertical dots in the top-right corner.
- Select Edit tiles.
- Find Personal Hotspot (or Hotspot) in the bottom list.
- Tap the green + icon or drag the tile up onto the first page of active tiles.
- Tap the checkmark or back button to save.
Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO
- Swipe down from the top-right of your screen to open the Control Center.
- Tap the Edit icon (looks like a square with a pencil in the top-right or bottom).
- Find Hotspot in the list of available toggles.
- Drag it up into the active tiles, placing it on the very first screen.
- Tap Done or back to save.
Other Android Brands
- Swipe down twice from the top of your screen to open the full Quick Settings drawer.
- Look for an edit button (pencil icon, three dots, or "Edit" button) and tap it.
- Find the Hotspot or Tethering toggle.
- Drag it to the top so that it sits on the first page of active toggles.
- Exit the edit screen to save.
